Sliding Square Transfer (SST) Electrocoat System

Description: Midwests's indexing system is a large capacity slide rail square transfer system containing black cathodic epoxy electrocoat. It is capable of running multiple processes as required. The equipment consists of a twelve (12) stage zinc phosphate pretreatment system with an optional acid clean operation to meet the latest performance requirements, a dual zone electrocoat bath (utilizing OEM approved paint), three stage post rinse, electrocoat bake oven, forced air cooling tunnel, SST conveyor, and automatic transfer unit to load and unload product from a power & free carrier. Capabilities exist for both air burping and tank skip.

Capacity: Midwest's process contains a ware package that will handle large size part loads, (up to 4000 lb. capacity and 108 x 72 x 60 inches) based on the design of the racking to be used. It complements the monorail system, in that it provides the capability for the processing of much larger parts and high volume programs with special handling needs for Midwest's customers. With several load/unload spurs, it is flexible in terms of accomodating multiple customers parts simultaneously. Custom tooling can be developed as required.

Program Management: Midwest utilizes automotive program management to coordinate the successful launches of new programs and continuous improvement of our exisiting programs. Our program management function manages a program from business award through process development, program launch, and series production to achieve all program deliverables. BACK
